2025: A Year of Transformation at Portland Rescue Mission 

A Clear Vision for Transformation

In 2025, Portland Rescue Mission experienced a year marked by growth, faithfulness, and renewed commitment to our calling. This past year was not only about meeting urgent needs, it was about clarifying and strengthening how transformation truly happens.  

This year, PRM formally put name and structure the PRM Transformation Model, our Christ-centered approach developed through decades of walking alongside men, women, and families experiencing homelessness, addiction, and crisis. The model reflects what we have seen time and again: real transformation happens through holistic, relational care. We must continue to meet immediate needs while addressing deeper wounds and restoring hope. 

Faithful Stewardship, Expanding Impact

The impact of PRM’s work is evident. In 2025 alone, 7,302 individuals were served, a 24% increase since 2023. Across our services, guests and participants received 70,135 nights of care and 263,654 meals, each one offered with dignity, compassion, and the love of Christ. This work is made possible through faithful community partnership. PRM remains 100% community-funded, stewarding $11.9 million in total income, with the majority invested directly in program services.

2026 and Beyond

As we look toward 2026, Portland Rescue Mission remains grounded in gratitude and guided by faith. The needs in our community continue to shift and grow, extending beyond downtown into overlooked neighborhoods across the Portland metro area. In response, PRM is preparing to pilot an expansion of its Hope Van Outreach Ministry. The goal is to deepen partnerships with churches and community organizations and explore new service opportunities, especially along the underserved I-205 corridor.

With a dedicated staff, an engaged volunteer community of over 1600, and faithful supporters walking alongside us, we enter 2026 ready to move forward with courage, compassion, and renewed hope. In everything, we trust God to lead each next step.
