Leading up to World Homeless Day and building on the massive success of our 2025 event, Portland Rescue Mission is returning for another Conversations on a Bench on October 8–9, 2026. This 24-hour livestreamed event will be hosted outside of the Burnside Shelter (111 West Burnside, Portland), becoming a visible and welcoming space for authentic dialogue and to re-humanize people experiencing homelessness.

Guests joining Erin Holcomb, PRM’s Interim Executive Director, on the bench include our community partners, graduates of our program, ministry leaders, Mayor Keith Wilson and Police Chief Bob Day.
