NEW LIFE Ministry FOR WOMEN
Guiding Women Toward Lasting Renewal
As the third phase of PRM’s Transformation Model, our New Life Ministry for women and mothers with children is where stability grows into deep, Christ-centered healing. Through long-term residential care hosted at Shepherd’s Door for up to 40 women and 25 children, we walk with women as they address substance use disorders, uncover the root causes of homelessness, and experience spiritual, emotional, and personal transformation within a supportive community.
PRM’s continuum of recovery care includes two interconnected programs – Discovery and New Life – that guide women in great need from early stabilization to lasting recovery and renewed purpose. Both programs are led by our dedicated staff of Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors, offering a holistic approach to ensure individuals receive the care they need to experience physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual healing.

Trauma-informed Care and Classes
The Children’s Center
Mothers enrolled in PRM’s Discovery or New Life Ministry at Shepherd’s Door may receive care from the Children’s Center.
The Children’s Center, for up to 25 kids, has a primary focus to walk alongside mothers and their children on their journey to a transformed life. In doing so, our dedicated staff and volunteers focuses on the following:
- Offering parenting classes and one-on-one coaching to promote healthy family relationships
- Supporting the emotional growth and restoration of normal childhood experiences that many children missed due to traumatic upbringings
- Collaborating with the local schools and community resources to encourage long-term support for the mothers and their children
- Additionally, the center offers after-school support and summer programming for elementary-aged children
84% of PRM's New Life Recovery grads in the last five years remain addiction-free and in stable housing.
